Joanna Bryson is an academic expert in intelligence, from the perspectives of computer science, psychology, and biology. She also has seven years’ industrial experience in finance, entertainment, consult- ing, and manufacturing. Since 2005 she has studied the fundamental (evolutionary) dynamics of social intelligence, dominance structures, and collective behaviour. Since 2010 she has been engaged in technology policy for robotics, and artificially intelligent systems more generally. She is currently a fellow at Princeton’s Center for Information Technology Policy.
